New Bethel is a Bible believing church, preaching and teaching Jesus Christ and Him crucified.
Sharing the Word of God with those who might not hear it other wise.
Showing genuine kindness to all, especially those in need of something more.
New Bethel is a church concerned with the spiritual and the natural man.
Teaching them to be cared for and how to care for themselves.
New Bethel is also a church committed to doing whatever pleases our Lord.

Superintendent Tommie Allen Murphy was born in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He is the seventh of nine children born to Mr. James H. & Mrs. Mary A. Murphy. He was educated in the Public Schools of Asheville, NC. Superintendent Murphy was saved at the age of 18 and joined Garden of Prayer Church Of God In Christ under the leadership of Superintendent C.W. Johnson, Sr. It was there that he received the call into the Gospel Ministry at the age of 20.
Pastor Murphy graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with BA in Business and a concentration in Finance. He retired from his secular assignment after 27 years as Senior Vice President of Wachovia Bank. He presently resides in Charlotte, NC with his wife of over 26 years Lady Doris D. Murphy. They have two beautiful daughters; Trevira Nicole and Ericka Lenae Murphy.

- Our Belief Concerning the Bible:
- We believe the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible written word of God.
- Our Belief Concerning God:
- We believe their is only one God, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father,
God the Son and God the Holy Ghost.
- Our Belief Concerning The Church:
- We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is
in Christ at His return.
- Our Belief Concerning Sin:
- We believe that the only means of being cleansed from sin, is through repentance,
faith, confession and acceptance of Jesus Christ according to Romans 10:9 & 10.
- Our Belief Concerning Salvation:
- We believe that the regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal
salvation.
- Our Belief Concerning Christ:
- We believe that the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the
human body in answer to believing prayer.
- Our Belief Concerning the Holy Ghost:
- We believe that the baptism of the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to
believers who ask for it.
- Our Belief Concerning Sanctification:
- We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost by whose indwelling, the
Christian is enabled to live a Holy and Separated life in this present world.
