New Bethel Camp Project Based Learning (PBL)

 

Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”

 

What is Camp PBL?

Camp PBL is designed for students to explore learning while having fun.  Students will engage in educational activities that will encourage them to develop problem solving skills through collaboration and hands-on experience.  Camp PBL will allow students the opportunity to use their creative abilities exploring Technology, Science, Math, Engineering, and Design.

 

Bible Study students will start with the book of psalms they will take the first Chapter work in groups to decide the meaning of the chapter and then create A project for the chapter.

 

Mission Statement:

Our mission is to provide a place where young people between the age of 6 and 17 can come, feel safe and have fun while receiving assistance with homework , tutoring in various subjects while exploring project based learning.

 

Goal of Ministry:

Our goal for New Bethel Camp Project Based Learning is to work hard to ensure each student is equipped with the necessary skills to be successful throughout life. Our goal is to boost student motivation to study, and generate a more positive attitude towards learning and to connect the needs of students and families to the resources of their communities.

 

 

Overview of Ministry:

The New Bethel Camp provides Summer Enrichment opportunities that helps students increase their self-esteem, have a healthier attitude toward learning, and acquire the necessary skills needed to be productive and successful throughout their lives. Students are educated through project based learning and with a model curriculum that supports students and families around four critical areas: academic enrichment; parent and family involvement; community involvement; nutrition, mental & physical health.
